Today our kids from Edmonds leave. We have had a great time with them, seeing more of Nicaragua. It's been a good time for them to experience life here and to unravel all that God has been showing them. Has it made it easier for them to go home? That remains to be seen. They are seeking God and therefore I can give them the direction that when they return home they need to focus on God's amazing love and not just everything that happen in Nicaragua. Please pray for them as they travel today and as they re enter the US.
I am headed to the airport in 45 minutes for my next team! A group of California, 18 people. I think I am ready. Of course I am tired but God will give me the strength and endurance to enter into these relationships and serve as an encourager for them and one that can direct their eyes to God.
Dwight and the kids will take it easy a bit. 2 weeks non stop with a team has worn them out, not to mention Dwight's sprained ankle has slowed him down. They will fit in when and where they want. I think it will be very good for them to land at the Villa for a time.
Payton Young has been here since the 20th, it has been a great time for her. What a great opportunity to spend time with a group of amazing kids that are seeking God ~ she is watching and learning and sharing so much!!!! She will go with me and the team this week to la chureca and several other places.
We decided that when there are teams our whole family will eat at the Villa for lunch and dinner ~ there is no way I could cook and facilitate a team. Yesterday someone mentioned that they can't imagine living with out a microwave and that was the first time that I had noticed that we were missing something! God is good.
The kids have about 2 more weeks until school starts. We had an interview with the Director last week, all went well. We have a little uniform shopping to, the kids were relieved to find out that they can wear more casual shoes that first expected. I can't wait to post those first day of school pictures.
Last night as we were sharing with the Edmonds kids, Josh said he could live here forever. Hm.
Ok, no more time to write.
We are so thankful for all of you and for your loving words and encouragement. We are praying for you.
More soon........
Loved checking in with you all today/tonight... There seems to be so much more to share, and yet so much seems insignificant. I was very happy today that Tyler was close for his difficult injury. The pictures you posted most recently are awesome! Will have to find more time to talk at some point--just the two of us. Love you guys, all. Hang in there, William. Sometimes it just is hard to be away from everything familiar. I remember those feelings several times when I lived in Japan. And sometimes, you just have to break down a bit, to grow to the next level :-) It was good to see all your smiling faces. Let's skype again, maybe even regularly when life settles a bit, huh? Love, Lucy
